In an important step towards recognition of Indigenous governance, the Tŝilhqot’in National Government entered an information-sharing agreement with the Provincial Health Office to access detailed updates on COVID-19 case numbers in nearby communities, so that the Tŝilhqot’in leadership has more and better information to guide its response to COVID-19 and protect the safety of our members and communities. Sechanalyagh to the Nuu-chah-Nulth Tribal Council, the Heiltsuk Nation, and the Provincial Health Office, our partners in this ground-breaking work.
