FINANCE

The responsibilities of the Finance Department include the coordination and preparation of the annual budget, continual monitoring of revenues and expenditures and coordination of the annual audit of the financial records and internal control systems. Finance is also responsible for the processing of payroll, accounts payable and billing for miscellaneous services.

Linda Hillegeist joined the Tsilhqot’in National Government in March 2011 as Finance Manager. Prior to joining TNG she spent 2 years working with the Yunesit’in National Government as their Finance Officer and numerous years working in Senior Management positions in the Industry Sector.

Linda attended BCIT studying Business Administration and Finance as well as participated in numerous Leadership, Management and Business Development programs.

Over 26 years of Business Administration and Finance Management experience has prepared Linda to be an effective member of the Tsilhqot’in National Government management team.

Stephanie Leon is from Sts’Ailes Indian Band (Chehalis). Through soccer and school she has enjoyed travelling to many parts of Europe and the United States and many reserves through-out British Columbia.

A personal goal for schooling is receiving a Bachelors of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship Leadership.

For the last two years she has been living in Williams Lake. Stephanie has an Applied Business Certificate. She started here at TNG October 18, 2010 as an Internship and is now the Finance Assistant. She really enjoys working for the Tsilhqot’in Nation.
